Since childhood,
my life was related with horses. Day by day, year by year, I learned customs
and the behavior of these fine animals. I perfected riding them too. Before
even to create “Arvena” I had the chance to work with horses
and various people across. I have learned techniques of working with horses
and understanding their behavior at the highest level. Also, I took part
in professional horse jumping competitions in my life, with as many awards
too. All these experiences helped me to gain confidence in my work and
I still take advantage of them.
From august 2005 additional
Health and Safety Regulations came in place at Arvena, as our highest
priority is to ensure maximum security for our riders and for the horses.
Riders’ safety depends on the horse to a great extent. In Arvena
all horses are trained using the newest methods. We adopted a constructive
approach in the rider - horse relationship as an important part in our
riding sessions is taking personal care of the horse you will ride (brushing
it, talking to it), in order to dissolve any potential barriers between
the horse and the rider and make the riding a unique experience.
I’m
trying to transfer my horse riding skills to the horsemanship young adepts
and to all those aiming to perfect their riding techniques at the highest
level. In the same time, one of our main targets here at Arvena is to
identify, from a large number of riding passionate that visits us regularly,
those young, talented riders, who, through proper training, could become
fine, skilled, professional sportsmen in the future. However, talent is
not the only key to success. First of all is heavily, conscientious and
systematic work that could take years for perfection.
The boxes are
well maintained, having big compartmented paddocks, many of them
being recently built. In the very close future we plan to open
a state-of the-art riding park designed just for professionals
and mainly jumping training. Lately, we also use experience instructor
techniques in working with people.
Each ride is a pleasure for the rider as well as for the horse.
We encourage very much the partnership between horse and rider
starting by treating the horse as a close friend and companion,
not as an object for riding services.
I therefore hope that
this short presentation has brought you a step closer to innocence and
gave you an insight into the atmosphere of Arvena. Photos presented in
this section are dated from various places where I practiced and competitions
that I have attended. Finally, there is nothing else left from me then
to welcome you on a fine adventure of a lifetime at Arvena Riding Centre!
